Professional carpet cleaning removes dirt, stains, allergens, and bacteria trapped deep within carpet fibres. At The Clean Principle, we use industry gold standard to revive, restore and protect your carpets safely and effectively.
The process
The process
- ID carpet fibre type – wool carpets clean very differently to synthetic
- Apply a prespray. These eco-friendly sprays are designed to attack the embedded dirt within the carpet fibres
- Agitate – a machine with contra rotating brushes is run over the carpet. This effectively lifts up each individual carpet fibre. This in turn allows the presprays to penetrate deep into the carpet fibres and the backing of the carpet, making the subsequent steam extraction significantly more effective. Many organise presprays include enzymes which are highly effective at targeting any odours which are deep set into the carpet.
- We then set up our specialised carpet cleaning machinery. The pressure of this machine is modified every job depending on the carpet fibre type and level of extraction required. We then use a carpet wand which shoots out steam in a backwards pass and then sucks out the water and dirt during the forward passes.
- Finally, the area is checked over for any stubborn remaining stains. If there are any left over stains, these can be removed using spot stain treatments. These area sprayed directly onto the spot, blotted and then extracted using the steam extraction tools.
How often should carpets be cleaned?
Overall, we recommend between every 8-12 months.
Light carpet cleaning (hoovering): at least once a week!
Deep carpet cleaning (steam cleaning):
According to the NCAA (National Carpet Cleaners Association)
- Properties with low traffic and no pets: every 12 -18 months
- Properties with pets: every 6-12 months
- Properties with people sensitive to allergies: every 3-6 months
How long does the carpet take to dry?
The carpet can be walked on after 2 hours!
Can I be at home during the carpet cleaning?
Yes!
How do you remove pet urine stains?
We use enzyme based and antibacterial presprays which directly attack and trap the odour causing pet stains. This is then extracted using our steam extraction machinery whilst simultaneously applying a deodoriser to remove odour and a fabric protector to protect again future spillages.
